July Themes and Reflections

Adventure awaits on the Cape!

This month, we’re continuing our summer theme by shining a spotlight on one of New England’s (and our) most beloved destinations—Cape Cod! Known for its beaches, summers on Cape Cod are often filled with sun-soaked days by the shore and rounds of mini-golf. However, if you’re planning a trip to the Cape this summer, we invite you to explore some of our favorite activities that go beyond the beach and mini-golf.

Mac’s Chatham Fish and Lobster

If you’re looking for the quintessential lobster roll, look no further than Mac’s Chatham Fish & Lobster. This local gem is known for their fresh seafood and has something for everyone.

Mahoney’s Garden Center

For those who love plants and gardening, Mahoney’s Garden Center in Falmouth is a must-visit. Depending on when you visit the Cape, you’ll be greeted by different in bloom plants that can inspire your next project.

Penguins Ice Cream Igloo

Warm summer days call for ice cream and one of our favorite spots for a sweet treat for the whole family is Penguins Ice Cream Igloo in Yarmouth. They have something for everyone and offer activities for kids if the line is long. Did you bring the dog on vacation? They will even make your dog a sundae if you ask.

Tony Andrews Farm

Depending on the season, you’ll always find something to do at Tony Andrews Farm in Falmouth. They offer seasonal activities and this year we tried their strawberry picking.

Cape Cod Children’s Museum

Sometimes summer brings unexpected rain showers, but that’s OK because there's still plenty to do on the Cape. If you’re bringing kids along, the Cape Cod Children’s Museum in Mashpee is the perfect escape.
